"Church-ianity" vs Christianity: What are we trying to win people to?

What we emphasize is important. What we say and what we write often shows what we really believe. Unfortunately, our words can show that we have a view that is not in line with the scriptures.

Are we trying to win people to Christ or to “the church(es) of Christ”? Is our emphasis on which church in town someone belongs to or is it whether or not they have obeyed the Gospel? Whenever we evangelize, do we show in what we say that we believe you must be part of a local group of believers to be saved or do we show that we want people to come to Jesus to be saved.
